I have not succeeded at my 30 day challenge. I am not giving up on it - just putting it on hold for now. I will come back to it.

On with the Top Ten(ish) Things I Love.

Kara Tippetts blog. I learned about it when I was reading about Brittney Maynard. I love everything she has to say. She has some thoughtful things to say about parenting. And she is dying of cancer.

Projects! Ezekiel has been OBSESSED with projects. Paper projects, cutting projects, swinging projects, outdoor projects, gluing projects, stamping projects, and so on and so forth. Some of them he does by himself, and some he asks for my help with. I try to be very careful to help him an appropriate amount. Sometimes it is hard because he wants me to do something hard (like build a time machine??) and sometimes I don't understand his vision for the project. And sometimes I just don't want to. So I try to check my attitude regularly, to make sure it is in the right place. He is not always going to want me to help him with projects.

I gave Ezekiel an International Childrens Bible that I recieved from my parents when I was 7, and we started reading it last night. He said he loved the bible, and he carefully chose a bookmark and placed it in the bible. I pray regularly for the wisdom to teach my boys to love God's word.

Atticus is saying many 2 words phrases. "mommys coffee". "check Ezekiel". "blue truck". He has also come to love screeching, "mooooooommmmyyy" when I'm in a different room. I love and enjoy watching his language develop and his personality blossom. He is a such a lovely part of my life.

Nathanael is in North Carolina for the Big Eastern competition. This is the last trip he will have until January, and I will be so happy to have him home without interruption for a while. I miss him when he is gone.

I had my first Parent Teacher conference last week. It went quite well. Ezekiel is model student. I was really looking forward to the meeting, because I knew there would be a lot of good things said about Ezekiel. I feel very blessed to have him. I know some of the moms were dreading their conferences.

We had a morning yoga and coffee date with a couple of preschool friends. I'm so happy that Ezekiel is making friends, and that I am too!

this is a "sorry card" from Ezekiel to Atticus
green shirt day!
Ezekiel really wanted to try on Gavins Hulk costume

Ezekiel made this crocodile all by himself. It is called, "Crocodile So Cream"

Peace, love, and projects,
Misty
