Summer is here...

Really excited for summer! It feels like it's here, what with all the hot weather. The boys are rebelling against their school year bedtime, I'm anxious to sleep in...we're ready.

*We got a patio last week! Woohoo! It's been a long 3 years without one. We're anxious to use it, and already have. Nathanael bought a firepit, and we made s'mores on Sunday night. My mom bought the boys little deck chairs, and Nathanael strung some lights. It felt a little crazy to have a fire in the firepit when it was 98 degrees outside, but it was fun.

*I really enjoyed Ezekiel's first full day field trip to the zoo on Friday. I am so thankful I am able to participate in things like that. It was fun to spend the day with him.

*Dan, Robyn, and Megan came to visit for Memorial Day. We visited the old cemetery in Beaverton, which we did last year, and I'm looking forward to making it a tradition. The boys placed small American flags on the headstones of soldiers. We ate lunch at Dickey's, played at the park, and I made jambalaya for dinner. It was a lovely day.

*So happy strawberry season is here!

*My mom visited over the weekend, so I could go on the zoo field trip. It's such a blessing to have her available to do that, and that she wants to. She and Atticus had fun at OMSI. We went to the Beaverton Farmer's market on Saturday morning. It was busy and hot!
