Sacred Selections fundraiser, and other stuff

Last Saturday, our family attended our first Sacred Selections fundraiser! It was a bike tour in Napa Valley. I rode my bike for 11 miles, while Nathanael watched Ezekiel. It was great fun, and a beautiful day! After the ride, we all had lunch together on the patio at a nice little restaraunt in Yountville. It was a great day! I was so honored to be able to participate, and to bring Ezekiel, our very own Sacred Selections baby. We customized a little onesie for him with the Sacred Selections logo. :) I hope that in the future we can all participate in many other Sacred Selections fundraisers!

In other news, we watched The Blind Side on Sunday night. Great movie! It truly was heartwarming. I loved it, and am happy to own it.

I'm looking forward to lots of things right now.

1) Memorial Day trip to the ranch with some awesome people
2) Trip to the Higgins in June to watch an awards show together
3) camp

All of these things will be exponentially better because we get to take Ezekiel with us.

Ezekiel's little world:

*His hair continues to get lighter. He is nearly blonde now.

*I've started weaning off the one-armed swaddle, which we've been doing for a while now. Yesterday and today, he took one nap without being swaddled. They were short, but at least he did it. We'll keep working on it.

*Once we have that mastered, we'll work on the transition to the "more mature" pacifiers. :)

*Starting this week, we are working on rice cereal every day, to get him used to eating off of a spoon. I ordered a book from Amazon on starting infants on solid foods, because I need a plan, and I'm hoping this book will help me with a plan. But until then, we're having rice cereal every day.

*I also ordered a baby signing DVD, so we can start signing!

*Tomorrow, I'm going to buy his first swimsuit. Yay, summer!

Ah, life is good.
