Last weekend we had a lovely weekend at the ranch with the Hamiltons, Rembleskis, Ricos, and Cains. It was chaos at times with 9 children under the age of 3, but fun, nonetheless. We played volleyball at the park and went for walks and ate meals together, and played games. Lots of good memories were made. I'm really hoping that wasn't my last time at the ranch. I'd love to come down every summer and spend some time there with Val and the kids. I bet it would be lots of fun with less people as well. :)
In addition to being a busy month what with moving preparations, it seems that our plans are changing daily. A couple of days ago, Nathanael got a call from Java City telling his that his last day will be on June 11 instead of June 25. So that makes things a little more challenging financially. PRC agreed to allow Nathanael to start on July 1, instead of July 15, and he's waiting to see if they'll let him start even earlier, so we don't have such a big break in pay. There are a couple of the ladies up at TVC that are looking for housing for us, and I am so thankful for that! We are going up there next weekend to find a place to live. I'm really hoping we can find something over the weekend. That would be a bit of a relief to know we have something lined up.
Ezekiel and I had lunch with Carrie Marrs this week. It was so nice, I wish I had started doing that earlier than right before we move. It's so fun to hear her stories, and she has so much wisdom. I told her I wanted to do it again one more time before we go.
This afternoon we are going to the Higgins for the rest of the weekend. It will be our last weekend with them before we move. We're going on a double date tonight! Megan is going to babysit Ezekiel. Should be fun!
Ezekiel's corner:
*He is currently in his crib, entertaining himself with squeals and other interesting noises. It's fun when he can entertain himself so thoroughly.
*He used the Johnny Jump Up for the first time last night! He loved it, even more than I thought he would. It was so cute.
*He's starting to use his arms to prop himself up when he's on his tummy. I think thats a step towards crawling!
*He's started to sleep with his buns in the air. So cute.
*Still just working on rice cereal once a day, but boy does he have that down! I am reading my book in order to move on to other foods next week, hopefully.
*The face punching phase seems to be over, for the most part
I'm off to start packing for yet another trip!
