Day 17 - Eyes All Aglow

Ezekiel gets Nathanael and I each a small Christmas present each year. We have recently asked him what he would like to get us. For me, I get my own Peter Pan movie. And for Nathanael, he gets his own Polar Express movie. I guess he's not into sharing movies.

At breakfast today, he said, "Mommy, I'm afraid Santa can't come inside the house." So I patiently reviewed the logistics of how Santa Claus gets in and out of houses. Again.

In other news, the boys had their 4 year and 9 month well child checkups today. I have healthy kids! Something to be thankful for everyday.

Atticus got his first vaccination at the appointment, which he handled like a champ. He cried hard for about 20 seconds. Ezekiel was busy playing and didn't know what was happening, and when Atticus started crying, he started screaming too, out of concern. And then, on the way home, we had this conversation:

Ezekiel: "Mom, that was ok. There were some things I didn't like, though."

Me: "Oh? And what was that?"

Ezekiel: "I didn't like it when Atticus got poked."

I'm so pleased with how thoughtful of a brother he is turning out to be.
