New Beginnings! Fresh starts!

Well, I didn't exactly keep up with my "Eyes All Aglow" series of blog posts. But I think I recorded enough magical Christmas moments to get an idea of what Ezekiel was like during Christmas season 2013.

I've realized something in these post-holiday days. I LOVE new beginnings! As in, a new year. I know that it is not really, truly a new beginning, and that a new beginning can begin anytime I want it to, but I still love the "new beginning feeling" that comes with the new year. I don't know why it has taken me 36 years for me to figure this out.

I am not really into New Years Resolutions. However, I am into goals. Goals are fun! So here are a few of mine for 2014.

1. Appreciate more, expect less
2. For Nathanael to get as much sleep as possible
3. Read 12 books this year (I've already finished my January book!)
4. Begin juicing. Sometime. Not sure when in 2014 this will happen yet.
5. Be a better wife

I know, a lot of these goals violate every rule of goal setting. Being specific and all that. But I don't care. If I'm always thinking about being a better wife, it will happen. Isn't that the way things work?

AND, as if that is not enough, I also have a theme for my year! Here it is...

Ease and Delight

No monstrous goals or momentous milestones. Ease at home and at work equals joy, health, creativity, and contentment. Inspired by this blog post!

Each day, I will delight in my children. They are small and home with me for such a short amount of time, and I don't want to miss any of it.

Peace, love, and artificial new beginnings!
Misty
