It was a huge relief to be somewhere familiar. As we were flying over Seattle, even seeing familiar landmarks was soothing. Being with my family never felt so good. It was hard being in unfamiliar surroundings with unfamiliar people for such a monumental event in my life. I could feel the stress melting away, the more time I was with my family.
My family loves Ezekiel. They think he is so sweet and cute, of course. He and Shala are cuddling and watching The Biggest Loser right now.
Yesterday, Ezekiel had his first checkup. The doctor said he is doing great! He weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz., 2 oz less than his birth weight. She did say I should probably feed him a little more, though. :)
I am so grateful for the Hodges. They have been so generous to us, and made our stay in Houston so easy. They welcomed us into their home for a long time, and with a newborn!
It's so fun watching people meet Ezekiel for the first time. It's one of my favorite things.
