The Re-invention of my blog

Maybe you're wondering where I've been.

I've been re-inventing my blog, thats where!

Several weeks ago, I had an epiphany. I hate blogging. This may surprise you, but it's true. I felt obligated to blog, and annoyed when I did it. It was a chore, and I felt like I was always striving to try to have a cool blog like some other people I know, and never succeeding. So in addition to hating blogging, I felt that my posts were always inadequate. So I decided to stop, and do some soul searching about why I blog, and if there is any way that I can actually enjoy it. I came to the following conclusions.

*I will not post pictures on my blog any longer. I hate posting pictures using blogger, and much prefer Facebook. So if you like looking at my pictures, I hope you are my friend on Facebook.

*The purpose of my blog is two fold, and they are in this order of importance. One. To record the events of my life for my own consumption, because I have a terrible memory. Two. For my friends and family to be informed of the events of my life.

*Sitting down to write a post with a blank screen in front of me overwhelms me. I need someplace to start.

*Two things I love are making lists and filling in blanks.

In light of these conclusions, I will attempt to blog about my life and my thoughts using things I love; making lists and filling in blanks. I don't know if I will like this any better, but I'm going to try it.

I will call it....rad lists and mad libs. Or maybe mad lists and rad libs.

I hope you like it.

Misty I enjoy your blogs. I'm glad you are going to continue. I too blog for myself, my memory is really bad, and for my family, we like to share our crafting projects. I occasionally just put down thoughts that have come to me from something, someone has said that hit home. You may never know when you have given someone a good thought that they needed to hear, so do keep on posting your "rad lists and mad libs". We will just have to see pictures of that darling boy on FB. Sorry for the long comment.:)

I was wondering where you have been! Although I haven't blogged for awhile myself. Glad to see that you haven't left the world of blogging all together. I agree though - sometimes seeing a blank screen that I need to fill with words can be overwhelming and I change my mind about writing.
