the top ten things I love this week

1. My Mother's Day gift. 3 books from Nathanael and Ezekiel! All ones that I've been wanting to read:

Bossypants
Matched
Under the Banner of Heaven

2. Family time. We went for a walk after dinner last night AND tonight!

3. Watching Ezekiel enjoy his grandparents and their pets last weekend. He LOVES them all!

4. Having the slider open today, because it is such a lovely, warm evening

5. Chocolate peanut butter ice cream. I couldn't stop thinking about it yesterday, so Nathanael bought some for me.

6. Ezekiel's and my walk to the bank today. 3.2 miles!

7. Community: the first of 2 paintball episodes (it was actually on last week, but we watched it this week). Loved it.

8. Hearing Ezekiel master new words. Add to the list: beep, cracker, home, uh-oh, more, avocado (sounds more like ca-ca)

9. The plethora of birds that are singing and chirping outside the open slider right now

10. Summer reading program at the library! Ok, this doesn't start until June 1, but I'm particularly excited about it this week.

Last weekend we went to Bremerton to spend it with Nathanael's parents. We drove up Friday after work, and as soon as we walked in the house, Ezekiel acted like he owned the place. He clearly feels comfortable and loves it there. We went to breakfast at the farm house on Saturday morning and to Nathanael's cousin Jake's wedding reception on Saturday afternoon. It was a fun day. We got lots of fun gifts that Dan brought us back from China, but I can't talk about my favorite one yet, because of some of you that I know read this.

Your China present comment is so mysterious! I love it...it makes me wonder what MY China present is :)

Glad Ezekiel had a great time in Washington. I really wish I had been able to make it!

We loved having all of you at our house, and we are thrilled that Ezekiel likes coming here! And don't forget that he also said "clock" with great regularity, like every fifteen minutes when it chimed!!
