Day 2
We woke in Boise at a leisurely pace. Which meant after 9am for Ezekiel, while the rest of us got a hotel breakfast.
We packed up and loaded up.
We stopped a a Sinclairs for gas and aren’t they lovely! The bathrooms were luxurious and clean, and the fancy smoothie maker was fun!
We stopped 8 times today. I blame the Sinclair smoothies and Starbucks. On the bright side, we got to visit 3 different Sinclairs. And I made sandwiches in the car for lunch!
Nathanael lamented the loss of an hour in stops, but I rejoiced in all the opportunities to use the bathroom.
We experienced our first interruption to our travel plans. The check engine came on. We had no actual issues with the car, but it was...disconcerting.
We get to the hotel in Rock Springs and we went to dinner at Marty’s bar and grill, and what we experienced there was about what you would expect from a local restaraunt in Wyoming. Atticus could barely tolerate the smoky atmosphere. The cobb salad was boring and the warm pretzel was overly salted. But we played high low buffalo, and we’ll never forget that dinner!
Atticus and I went to bed early, and Nathanael and Ezekiel went to Auto Zone to get a code read on the car.
Quote of the day:
“This is the rabbity-est place I’ve ever been in my life” -Nathanael
That's it for day two! Stay tuned for day three adventures. Stay classy, readers, and be excellent to each other.
