Day 3
The interruption continues. Nathanael did a bunch of research with the code read. and spent a lot of nervous energy trying to understand the problem. He took the car to the Honda dealership in little ‘ole Rock Springs, they said they could look at it at 10:30. So we waited, discussed our options, and ate breakfast. I called our reliable Midas owner back in Beaverton and gave him the code, which he looked into for us. He thinks it’s a benign issue, but that we’re on the right track with the Honda dealership. So Honda checked it out at 10:30, they did full check and cleared the codes, and we were on our way.
On the road at 1pm! Five and a half hours to Denver.
We played a bit of Carpool Chaos for the first time today. We learned which one of us is more likely to pee in a pool.
I don’t think I’ve mentioned it yet, but we’re listening to book 4 of A Series of Unfortunate Events. We listen to one chapter a day, so we’re 3 chapters in!
Much fewer stops today! We only drank water in the car…
Blerg! The check engine light came on again. We’ll need to figure out what to do about that.
We arrived at the Goehls in Parker, Colorado around 7pm. Andy grilled burgers and kabobs and the grown ups watched Ted Lasso while the kids played hide and seek. It was great to spend time with them! We haven't been here to see them in 2 years.
That's it for day three! Stay tuned for day four adventures. Stay classy, readers, and be excellent to each other.
