fill in the blank friday.

1. My favorite quote is I don't really have a favorite, but I really like this one that I posted a while back. I found it on one of my favorite websites, Zen Habits.
"Being present is absolutely essential for experiencing and appreciating the small joys of life. Instead of always thinking of the next thing on our to-do list or itinerary, being present allows us to recognize and enjoy those small moments of joy as they arise."

2. A bad habit I have is cracking my knuckles. I know, it's annoying and gross, and I hate that I do it. Nathanael hates it too. I really should stop.

3. The first time I felt like a "grown up" was when I owned a house. I can't think of a particular moment, but owning a house made me feel pretty grown up.

4. Weekends are awesome because Nathanael is home. I love being home with Ezekiel during the week, but it's even better when the three of us are home together.

5. When I was a child I wished my name was Theresa? I think. I'm not really sure, but I do know that I went through a phase where I hated my name, and wanted to change it. I think it was Theresa because I have a Cabbage Patch doll I named Theresa.

6. I wish I could sing. I mean, I can sing, and I do it a lot, and I love to, but I wish I had a beautiful voice. I'd take a voice like Amy Winehouse or Joss Stone, if I could choose.

7. A secret I have is I failed the knowledge test when I went to get my Oregon drivers license 2 weeks ago. I thought it was going to be easier than it was, and I didn't do any practice tests or study at all. I just went. I'm going to try again tomorrow, and I've read the whole manual cover to cover (or at least, I will have done so by tomorrow morning at 8am). I hope I pass. It will be really embarrassing if I fail again.

Have a good weekend!

Until tomorrow,
Misty
