My mom left tonight. She was here for 9 days. We had a great visit, I'm so glad she came. And I'm sad that she had to leave. Saying goodbye to the people that you love sucks. She was so helpful while she was here, she did so much stuff for me. Every time she comes, I feel spoiled while she's here, and it is so unfair that when she leaves, I have to do my own cooking and cleaning. :) My mom is a jewel. I already miss her.

Nathanael was preaching in Dublin last week, and Santa Rosa the week before. He preached some great sermons. It was the first time my mom had heard him preach, and she sure was impressed! Those days are harder now with Ezekiel...but still fun. Nathanael is going to start recording and posting his sermons on his website, for all to hear.

It's back to work for me tomorrow. Babysitting, that is. Well, I worked last week, but I left Ezekiel at home with my mom, so it didn't really feel like normal. This week should be a pretty quiet, normal week for us. Nothing too exciting. I won't be working as much at the law firm, they don't need me anymore. :( I am happy and sad about that at the same time. But oh well. It is what it is, as my mom would say.

What's going on in Ezekiel's world:

*I spotted the first instance of thumb sucking last Friday. He's been chewing on his thumb for quite a while, but this was a real suck. I wonder if we have a thumb sucker on our hands...?

*Alternatively, he could be trying to compensate for not getting enough to eat. I've determined that I probably haven't been feeding him enough, which might be why he's sticking his hands in his mouth so much. I've upped his bottles by a couple of ounces, and he's been taking all of it, so I guess that answers that question.

*He's still a drool machine

*He sure loves his daddy. He stares at him in a way that he doesn't stare at anyone else.

*His baby gym is still a big hit. He's getting quite good at batting and even grabbing at the dangling toys

*His first Easter went very well. We got some very cute pictures of his Easter outfit before he spit up on it and we had to change him into something else before we had even left for church.

I would like everyone to know that Nathanael is the best husband ever. He helps with dinner and the dishes, and he loves God and also Ezekiel and I. What more could a girl ask for?

I have more to say, but maybe later I'll say it.
