We went to the Higgins last weekend to spend some time with them. We had a great time, as usual. We were able to go on a date (dinner and a movie) on Saturday night, while Megan watched Ezekiel. It was a good trip in another sense, in that we got lots of great advice from Josh and Kati about being supported by other churches, and some tips on how to do some things. I think it gave us both a lot of confidence, and some direction.
We came home Monday morning, and I got to work! I haven't had to work at all this week, so I've been devoting all my time to Ezekiel first, then packing, cleaning, organizing, throwing away, etc. I feel like I'm making good progress. I decided today to take it a little easier because I've been exhausted at the end of every day. I think I've been trying to do too much. I just don't want to be caught with a lot to do when moving week comes.
We're going to a singing tonight, and then I'm hanging out with Alicia. She got engaged this week. Yay!
Tomorrow we are leaving for Oregon again, this time to find a place to live. I hope and pray that we will be able to find something. I'm a little anxious about it. So...we're on the road again!
Ezekiel's corner of the world:
*He's almost sitting up on his own! So close.
*Still doing great with rice cereal. I'm about to increase it to twice a day, and to introduce bananas into the mix. Yum!
*He's decided he's done with me rocking him before bedtime/naps. I'm sad, but glad that he wants to go to sleep in his bed on his own. Our bedtime routine now consists of reading a book, singing a song, and then going to bed. He cries for a few minutes, and then he's asleep. Such a big boy.
Back to packing now!
