So...about my post yesterday. I didn't do it. Let's move on.

Shala and Andy came to visit us this weekend. They arrived yesterday morning, and after they arrived, we drove out to the Columbia River Gorge to go hiking. We did an AWESOME hike called Eagle Creek. Lots of waterfalls and caves and high bridges and rainforesty stuff. It was a beautiful day. And it was a great chance to get to know Andy a little bit. He gets extra credit in my book for taking a turn carrying Ezekiel on his back.

I think we found Ezekiel's breaking point for hiking. He started to melt down after about 4 hours in the backpack. Which I think is pretty outstanding for a 9 month old. I'd get tired of being in a backpack after 4 hours too.

I have to post this before midnight, so I'll leave you with this photo, which captures the essence of our day perfectly.

Until tomorrow,
Misty
